With the presence of many old and dilapidated latrine in IDP sites , and with the aim of improving the living and health conditions of the individuals inhabiting the sites through the latrine rehabilitation activity, with activity of project (Provision of emergency, life-saving Water, sanitation, and hygiene services to the most affected IDPs hosting sites in Sana’a (Hamdan) and in Amarn at (Houth, and Khamer ) (Priority 2) team which is implemented by (YGUSSWP) with funding from YHF and in coordination with SCMCHA (Sanaa/Amran), The project team completed the rehabilitation activity of 100 latrine, where the activity targeted (Darwan site 38 latrine, Al-Sawad site 4 latrine , Al-Raqqa site 15 latrine , Al-Azraqin site 10 latrine ) in Hamdan District - Sana’a Governorate, and Dahad site (33 latrine ) in Khamer District - Amran Governorate.
The latrine rehabilitation activity includes repairing old latrine and equipping them to be usable and of high quality. This activity also enhanced public health and personal hygiene for IDPs individuals in sites, and also reduced the spread of infectious diseases. It contributes to enhancing the comfort of individuals and enhancing human dignity by providing a healthy and decent environment for using the bathroom. On the other hand, the IDPs beneficiary expressed their thanks and appreciation to the employees of YGUSSWP and YHF. #YGUSSWP #YHF_YEMEN
