Amid the humanitarian and economic challenges faced by displaced households, #YGUSSWP, with generous support from the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (#YHF_Yemen), has initiated the first round of unconditional, life-saving emergency food cash assistance for 56 displaced households in Al-Abdiyah District – Marib Governorate.
Each installment of this assistance provides
beneficiary households with a sense of security and dignity, helping them cover
their essential meals and enhancing daily food security, especially in light of
limited income sources and rising food prices.
Each household receives $100 per round
(equivalent to 52,500 YER at the time of distribution) to meet its basic food
needs.
This first round marks the beginning of a
series of 6 consecutive monthly installments, during which each household will
receive direct cash support of $100 per round, enabling families to meet their
food needs with dignity and cope with severe economic challenges.
This intervention is
part of the project:
"Provision of Integrated Life-Saving, Multi-Sectoral Protection, CCCM, FSAC, Health, and Nutrition Services Response for IDPs, HC, and Returnees in Al-Abdiyah, and Al Bayda city Districts."
