With generous support from the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (#YHF_Yemen), #YGUSSWP has disbursed the second payment, equivalent to 30%, under the Cash for the Purchase and Installation of Emergency Shelter Items (ESKs) activity. The assistance reached 163 displaced households as the first group of beneficiaries out of the 200 households targeted in Kushar District, Hajjah Governorate.

The second payment amounted to USD 129 per household, equivalent to YER 67,725, based on the exchange rate approved on the day of disbursement. This amount was added to the first payment of USD 301, bringing the total assistance allocated to each household to USD 430. The support enables households to complete the purchase and installation of emergency shelter items in line with their needs and the approved technical specifications.

This assistance helps displaced households complete the provision of safer and more suitable emergency shelter, reducing their exposure to harsh weather conditions while enhancing their privacy and dignity amid the challenges of displacement. Project efforts are continuing to reach the remaining targeted households and complete assistance for all 200 displaced households in the district, in accordance with the implementation plan and activity requirements.
