As a pivotal
step towards enhancing water security and improving living conditions, Qaniyah
Water Project was inaugurated in Mahliyah District, Marib Governorate, in the
presence of the Governor of Marib, the Directors of SCMCHA – Marib Branch,
GARWSP – Marib Branch, and the Director-General of Mahliyah District.

implemented this project with generous support from #YHF to provide a clean and
sustainable water source and improve access to water for displaced families,
returnees, and host communities.
Key Project Components:
💧 Rehabilitation of the water
reservoir and protection of two water wells to enhance pumping capacity for all
households.
💧 Installation of over 21,000 meters
of pipelines to ensure water reaches the targeted population.
💧 Installation of two solar-powered
pumping systems to guarantee sustainable water access.
💧 Construction of two control rooms
and protective fencing to maintain system efficiency and security.
Due to these interventions, more than 8,379 people have gained
sustainable access to clean water, alleviating their daily struggles and
reducing health risks associated with unsafe water scarcity. The project also
strengthens local communities' resilience in the face of environmental and
humanitarian challenges.
During the
inauguration, attendees emphasized the importance of the water project as one
of the strategic projects in enhancing water access and ensuring the
sustainability of water resources, commending the efforts made to provide
long-term solutions for securing water.
