As part of the implementation of the project:
"Improving living conditions and supporting durable solutions for
displacement-affected communities across Yemen."
#YGUSSWP, with funding from the European
Union Humanitarian Aid (ECHO) and in partnership with the Norwegian
Refugee Council (NRC), continues to implement its humanitarian activities
in IDP sites across Amran Governorate.
Awareness sessions
were conducted to enhance displaced families’ understanding of the project’s
interventions and services, focusing on public safety, first aid, flood risk
awareness, and coping with daily challenges within the sites—thereby
strengthening their ability to adapt to displacement conditions.
In addition, focus group discussions (FGDs)
were conducted with community members to identify priorities for maintenance
projects and community-based interventions based on actual needs—ensuring that
beneficiaries’ voices are reflected and their participation in decision-making
is strengthened.
These activities contribute to promoting a
people-centered approach that places communities at the heart of humanitarian
action, by actively engaging them in identifying priorities and improving their
living conditions, thereby supporting effective response and enhancing
stability.
