As part of ongoing #YGUSSWP conducted a training workshop on the selection
of community committees with stakeholders under the project:
"Improving living conditions and supporting durable solutions for
displacement-affected communities across Yemen."
with support from
the European Union Humanitarian Aid (ECHO) and in partnership with the Norwegian Refugee Council (#NRC), with the participation of relevant authorities
and stakeholders in Amran Governorate.
The workshop aimed to strengthen
understanding of the mechanisms for selecting and forming community committees
within displacement camps, and to build participants’ capacities on the roles
of these committees in representing the community and identifying its
priorities and needs, thereby enhancing community participation and improving
the effectiveness of humanitarian interventions.
It also focused on strengthening
coordination among relevant actors and ensuring the selection of effective
community committees capable of supporting a more efficient and responsive
humanitarian action.
